Senior Accountant at a Construction Company in Laos

• Oversee financial reporting, manage budgets, ensure compliance with regulations, coordinate audits, support the finance team, prepare monthly reports, and analyze financial data for strategic planning
• Up to 18,000,000 LAK plus other benefit packages

The Role

This role requires overseeing day-to-day accounting functions, managing accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with Lao tax laws and international accounting standards, and supporting forecasting and budgeting processes. The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in ensuring financial integrity and contributing to strategic business decisions

About the Company

Our client is a construction company in Laos, well-recognized for delivering large-scale infrastructure projects and upholding strong industry standards for quality and accountability

Responsibilities

• Manage financial transactions and ensure accurate general ledger entries
• Prepare timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes, monitor budget variances
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and optimize tax planning
• Implement strong internal controls and assist in risk management
• Coordinate and support external audits and ensure proper documentation
• Analyze financial performance and provide strategic insights to management
• Support process improvement and financial system enhancements

Requirements

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field
• Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA are highly preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in finance or accounting roles, preferably within the logistics or supply chain industry
• Familiarity with international accounting standards (GAAP or IFRS) and local regulations.
