Accounts Officer at a Leading Outsourcing & Corporate Secretarial Services Firm in Vientiane

- Salary: Up to 16,000,000 LAK plus other benefits
The Role
- To provide full finance and accounting support for the smooth operation of services within the organization in Lao PDR.
Main Responsibilities
- Managing and overseeing the daily operations of internal and external (client) companies.
- Plan, organize, and manage all activities of the Payroll Operations Team responsible for handling clients in Lao PDR.
- Understanding the nature of the business by meeting with internal and external (client) companies and their internal finance team.
- Communicating regularly with internal and external (client) companies for transaction information and supporting documentation.
- Preparing a suitable Chart of Accounts (CoA) for the client's business.
- Liaise with internal and external (client) companies to plan annual audit requirements for the accounts.
- Regularly discuss the Final Report with internal and external (client) companies via online meetings or face-to-face.
- Ensuring accurate allocation, posting, and reconciliation of accounts payable and receivable of internal and external (client) companies.
- Responsible for managing tax matters related to the internal and external (client) companies' business, including Personal Income Tax, Corporate Tax, Value Added Tax, Withholding Tax, etc.
- Regularly reviewing financial information and being prepared to provide a summary of the financial status.
- Producing error-free accounting reports and presenting the results monthly to management.
- Identifying problems and suggesting ways to improve efficiency and reduce business expenses.
- Recording and entering data into the cloud accounting system and managing online accounts.
- Prepare the Statement of Cash Flow (daily, weekly, monthly).
- Prepare the Final Report (SOPL & SOFP) and Analysis Report of the Financial Statement.
- Regularly liaise with the CFO after finalizing the above matters.
- Liaising with the CFO to improve financial procedures.
- Update the weekly report on all completed and pending work, etc.
- Work closely with the CM to stay updated on local and state policies and procedures, and provide strategic advice on license applications, submissions, and investment opportunities for government approval.
- Take proactive action on any Government Relations issues and processes and raise awareness among the team.
- Undertake any other work that may be reasonably required from time to time.
- Additionally, you may be required to work on other projects under the direction of the Country Manager.
Requirements
- Must have 3-4 years of professional experience in finance and accounting.
- Must have a bachelor's degree, preferably in finance/accounting or a professional qualification.
- Proficient command of English is a must.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Possesses exceptional interpersonal communication skills and is a dynamic team player.
- Demonstrates strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Exhibits strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills, with impeccable multitasking abilities.
