The Role

Responsible for overseeing general accounting functions, managing financial processes, and providing leadership within the accounting department

Description

Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, profit & loss accounts, and cash flow reports
Monitor actual results against budgeted figures and provide variance analysis
Maintain a thorough understanding of local tax laws, advising management on any changes and their financial implications
Establish and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data
Oversee inventory accounting processes, ensuring accuracy in inventory valuation and reporting.
Reconcile supplier and customer accounts regularly and resolve any discrepancies

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Professional accounting qualifications are preferred
Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably within the agriculture or related industries
Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems
Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
Fluency in English and Lao is required
