The Role

This role drives business growth by identifying opportunities and leading B2G initiatives, including presenting and securing banking projects with government institutions.

Description

• Develop and execute government relations strategies aligned with the bank’s business objectives
• Build and maintain strong relationships with government authorities, regulators, and key public sector stakeholders
• Act as the primary liaison between the bank and government institutions
• Identify opportunities and lead initiatives to present and sell banking solutions/projects to government entities
• Monitor regulatory developments and provide strategic advice to senior management
• Support business expansion by facilitating approvals, licenses, and policy alignment
• Represent the bank in high-level meetings, forums, and industry discussions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Public Policy, or related field (Master’s preferred)
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in government relations, public affairs, or corporate affairs
• Strong network within government institutions in Laos
• Proven experience in stakeholder management and policy engagement
• Experience in banking, financial services, or large multinational organizations is highly preferred
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
• Fluent in Lao and English
